lehcar88: as a matter of fact, yeah, some people have died and have seen this:

there was grass as green as anything, everything seemed to shimmer and glow and he knew that this was a heavenly place for he heard a voice calling, not shouting, a calm voice calling, "it is not your time yet." he woke from the dead and told his story.

erm...well that is what i had heard from a freind...but i would just like to let you know, in heaven you are given a new and sinless (if that's a word) body. your old body decays in the earth but no, you can not return from heaven. once you have been through the golden gates to heaven and been through the judgment, you can never return to the earth until the new heaven and earth come. but in the new earth, i beleve, there would be no sin, therefore no death, therefore no need for heaven, so heaven will be poured into the new earth and a new jeruselum will form. please note that this is what i, as a 11 year old, beleve from my father, who told me all of this.

A:No one has ever been to heaven and returned to life. Near-death experiences are sometimes cited as evidence of an afterlife, but there has been no report of a person who has actually died (brain death) communicating with the 'other side'. The experiences reported by those who have suffered near-death are inevitably coloured by the sociocultural context of the patient (Allan Kellehear, Experiences Near Death: Beyond Medicine and Religion). This suggests that the Christian afterlife is experienced by Christians, but the Hindu afterlife is experienced by Hindus.

Even when a person thinks he is about to die, he can have similar experiences (Russell Noyes Jr and Roy Klette, Depersonalization in Response to Life-threatening Danger). Various conditions, such as oxygen deprivation or reduced blood flow, can also induce similar experiences.

Yes, a man named Daniel Ekechukwu died in a car accident, but was later raised to life. Read all about it at this website. It is true!

http://www.heavensfamily.org/ss/daniel_main

But if you were to die this very second, do you know for sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that you would go to Heaven? Let me share with you what the Holy Bible reads. It reads "for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" and "for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". The Bible also reads, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved". And you're a "whosoever" right? Of course you are; all of us are.

I'm going to say a quick prayer for you. Lord, bless (FILL IN NAME) and his/her family with long and healthy lives. Jesus, make Yourself real to him/her and do a quick work in his /her heart. If (FILL IN NAME) has not received Jesus Christ as his /her Lord and Savior, I pray he/she will do so now. (FILL IN NAME), if you would like to receive the gift that God has for you today, say this after me with your heart and lips out loud. "Dear Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Forgive me of my sin. Wash me and cleanse me. Set me free. Jesus, thank You that You died for me. I believe that You are risen from the dead and that You're coming back again for me. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Give me a passion for the lost, a hunger for the things of God and a holy boldness to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm saved; I'm born again, I'm forgiven and I'm on my way to Heaven because I have Jesus in my heart." As a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I tell you today that all of your sins are forgiven. Always remember to run to God and not from God because He loves you and has a great plan for your life.

Here an example;you were dead for 3 minutes somebody did CPR on you you come back.Maybe they wouldn`t go to heaven or hell right away.(At first, when I read he question I`m like are you retarded (no offense if i called you retarded i didn`t mean it)(then I saw some of the answers, then i`m like ohh)

From the biblical perspective... which speaks of "three heavens"... each heaven would have to be addressed individually.

The "first heaven" is the breatheable atmosphere surrounding the earth where clouds are and birds fly.

"...Let the waters bring forth... the fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven." (Gen.1:20)

In these modern times... people soar up into the first heaven all the time... and come back down somewhere else.

Almost anyone can go into this heaven these days with the proper transport conveyance. According to the Bible, even Elijah went up to the first heaven in such a conveyance and was transported to some undisclosed location where no one could find him.

"...They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not." (II Kings 2:17)

The "second heaven" is the vacuum of "outer space" where the "stars" and planets reside.

"...Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them..." (Gen.15:5).

Second heaven is an inhospitable environ to man that has entertained a limited and exclusive "daring" clientele over the past few decades, which still requires special technology and life-support apparatus, just to be able to exist there.

The "third heaven" is the place of the Father's throne, where Jesus Christ sits at His right hand today. Jesus tells us that no man can go there but Himself, who came from there.

"...NO MAN HATH ASCENDED UP TO HEAVEN, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man which is in heaven." (John 3:13).

The only biblical reports of people going there are in the form of "dreams" or "visions."

"...I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one CAUGHT UP TO THE THIRD HEAVEN." (II Cor.12:1-2)

" I John... was in the Isle that is called Patmos, for the Word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day..." (Rev.1:9-10). [John was transported in his vision forward in time to the 'Day of the Lord' - the prophesied time of Jesus' return to earth with the Kingdom of God -- which the Bible calls "gospel" or "good news" for all of mankind]

According to the Bible... no man has ever gone to the "third heaven" but Jesus Christ, who came from there.

"If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord [Jesus Christ] will MAKE MYSELF KNOWN UNTO HIM IN A VISION, and I will speak unto him IN A DREAM." (Num.12:6)

"IN A DREAM, IN A VISION OF THE NIGHT, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; then He openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their insruction..." (Job.33:15-16).

That's, at least, the Bible's take on going to heaven... beit the first, second or third one.
