no.. no one has really been to rockhopper island. people may post that they have but they make it up to get attention. Also if people make videos about going there they edited it and made it up... although the only was to be truly sure YOURSELF is by trying one or both of the ways i heard of.
1. Stowaway on his boat and hide
2. get to level 25 on "Hydro Hopper" and go back to the dock, there you will find a map.
