Has anyone ever talked to a saint?

A Saint is a holy person who has been officially certified by the Catholic Church as a Saint. The rather lengthy and careful process of declaring someone a Saint can only begin after someone has died.

Talking to a Saint is thus difficult as the deceased nature of the Saint hampers communication, except through the traditional channel of prayer.

Prayer is typically not explicitly answered in words, so while anyone may talk to a Saint, the Saint seldom talks back.

A number of persons, including Saint Bernadette of Lourdes, have had apparitions of the Virgin Mary and communicated with her. Others, such as Joan of Arc, have had visits from other saints. All of us can 'talk' to saints in our prayers. In most cases they are not able to respond in words, however, but do not let that deter you, They can hear your petitions.
