Is diabetes worse than chronic fatigue syndrome?

It depends how you look at it. Someone with diabeties can live their life and do activites and go to school like a normal person. They just have to watch certain things. Chronic Fatigue causes many many many symptoms and troubles. ALmost everyone who has it has to quit work or cant go to school. In my opinion, diabites doesnt stop you from doing what you want but chronic fatigue syndrome can just tear your like apart. ( like it has done to mine.)

What is profound fatigue that is not improved by bed rest and is made worse by physical or mental activity?

Profound fatigue that is not alleviated by bed rest and worsens with physical or mental activity is often a symptom of conditions like chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) or fibromyalgia. Does anyone know if Activive really helps cure Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?

There is NO cure for CFS, just like there is NO clinical test for diagnosing the illness. There are "cures" for SOME of the many symptoms that a person with CFS suffers with. CFS requires a change in lifestyle in order to manage the disease and improve a patients 'quality of life.' If diagnosed at an early onset along with the necessary lifestyle changes and medical management of the symptoms, people have been known to go into long term periods of 'remission' so to speak. CFS can get worse if not properly diagnosed (and thus treated) at its onset.

Would down syndrome make you a better person or worse person?

Down syndrome does not inherently make someone a better or worse person; it is simply a genetic condition that affects an individual's development. People with Down syndrome, like anyone else, can exhibit a wide range of personalities and behaviors. Their capacity for kindness, empathy, and positive contributions to society is not determined by their condition but by their individual experiences and upbringing. Ultimately, character is shaped by a variety of factors beyond genetics.

CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME MEDICATIONS: Because of the condition the patient is in (lethargic and lacking energy most of the time) they can become depressed and withdrawn so several drugs can be prescribed by your doctor. Antiviral drugs (Acyclovir) Drugs to fight "hidden" yeat infections (nystatin) Medications to treat depression (antidepressants drugs SSRIs) Medication to treat anxiety (antianxiety drugs such as Celexia, Paxil, etc.) Medication to reduce pain, discomfort and fever. Patients with CFS are encouraged to maintain active social lives and mild physical exercise may also be helpful (such as slow walks, working up to longer walks. EXPECTATIONS (PROGNOSIS) The long-term outlook for patients with CFS is variable and difficult to predict at the initial onset. Some patients have been reported to completely recover after 6 months to a year. Others may take longer for a complete recovery. Some patients report never returning to their pre-illness state. Most studies report that patients treated in an extensive rehibilitation program have a better prognosis of improving significantly than those patients who don't seek treatment. Marcy
