Some will say so. His atrocious behavior is more like a dictator than a president.
He lies constantly, and his skirting of the Constitution at will is shameful. His administration is wracked by scandal after scandal. He also by passes Congress whenever he doesn't get his way on issues, and never takes the blame for anything, like a petulant child.
I doubt that he ever will. You may not like his politics, but there is no evidence that he has broken any federal laws.
His legacy to president obama was that black people can go and be presidents now cause of ernest green changing the laws
He might be close to violating the War Powers Act, in Libya. Other than that, the President hasn't broken any laws.
The duration of Broken Laws is 1.17 hours.
There are three branches: Legislative (to create laws) Judicial (to interpret how to apply laws and to oversee the process of determining trial procedures in applying laws to specific circumstances) the executive branch (to allocate resources, manage and strategize the enforcement or execution of laws) each branch has special abilities/powers that allow them to exercise some control over one another. I believe only the legislative branch (congress: House of Representatives and Senate) or the voting public through referendum have authority to conduct impeachment. Should Obama be looking out for you? :)
Broken Laws was created on 1924-11-09.
No, the Supreme Court does not have original jurisdiction in impeachment cases. According to the U.S. Constitution, impeachment is a process primarily handled by Congress, with the House of Representatives responsible for impeachment and the Senate conducting the trial. The Supreme Court's role is limited to interpreting laws and the Constitution, not adjudicating impeachment proceedings. Thus, impeachment cases are outside the Court's original jurisdiction.
OBAMA
President Obama heads the executive Branch and he writes the laws.
Probably not. I know that is very disappointing to Republicans, but the truth is that contrary to what you hear on Fox News or on right-wing talk shows, President Obama has broken no laws and is not guilty of any impeachable offenses. Disagreeing with someone's political views is not grounds for impeaching them.
impeachment, passing laws, treaty ratification
The United States Constitution states that there's only one way for any official to be removed: impeachment, conviction, and sentencing (Art I, Section 3). The House of Representatives "enact the Articles of Impeachment," and the Senate tries the offender. Impeachment is merely a charge, a listing of meritable laws broken by the offender. The House only writes this (Art. I, Section 2) but then steps aside, because "The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments." A president may also leave of his/her own volition by resignation. Be it resignation, death, or impeachment, the vice president then takes the seat.
