The exploration of Neptune was only a fly-by of the Voyager 2 on August 25, 1989. Neptune is a gas giant without a solid surface, hence, a surface mission such as a lander or rover is impossible.
only one..... the voyager 2.
yes in otherwise we wont know anything about neptune!
voyager 2
YES!
The space probe "Voyager 2" flew past Neptune.
Mankind has not yet gone to Neptune nor a satellite. There are only satellites around the Earth, Moon, Venus, Mars, We have sent an unmanned probe to Neptune (Voyager 2), but it did not go into orbit. It just flew by and took some pictures. It would have taken far too much energy to slow the probe down enough to get it to actually go into orbit.
It may be possible in the future, but today we are not able to travel that far.
Yes or else how would we know anything about it
As of yet, only the Voyager 2 probe has been sent to Neptune. It passed Neptune in 1989.
Voyager 2 is the only spacecraft to have visited Neptune. The probe's closest approach to Neptune was on 25 August 1989.
