Its ur immobiliser. Sit yourself in the car with doors shut, turn ignition as if you were starting until dash is fully lit. Then hold the button just in front of your ignition barrel. It looks like a picture of a speaker. Keep this pressed until your lights and indicators reset and your car should start.
Answerbatteries to peugeot cars have to be changed by the dealer as the key then has to be reprogrammed to each individual car. it is a pain in the backside as i used to work for peugeot. I took my key to the local car parts shop,he not only sold them but fitted them to.It was that easy.

Hi: You can change the internal Battery yourself as long as you do it within 20 seconds, so make sure you have the correct type of battery, It should tell you that in The Manual once you have changed the battery, Just switch the Igntion on and within 30 seconds press the unlock button for 3 seconds.
