During the beta testing and first days of opening, the entrance was staggered to prevent a server overload. It was announced on the Pottermore Insider that a second batch of welcome emails were sent out on August 18, 2011. Those who join now should receive their emails very quickly. If you haven't, check your junk mail box.

no one knows when we will get it but if you check the Pottermore insider website this will tell you what was the last time they sent a batch of emails out... I have seemed to work out a pattern that they get sent out one day miss a day one day miss a day... but i don't think they send any out on weekends... i registered on day one and got my second email on the 10th of august so just wait and see. hope this helps
