Jesus Christ is the only one person that has defeated death. The underworld I'm thinking of is hell. Those three days He was beneath the earth, Jesus was preaching the gospel. In Homer's epic poem "The Odyssey," the eponymous Ithacan hero, Odysseus, travels to the Underworld on Circe's instructions. Greek mythology also tells of Orpheus, who ventured down into Hades to bargain for the life of his love, Eurydice. Both of these returned from the Underworld alive.
Hades' Underworld is called The Underworld.
