I had the same problem on my 2002 Monta Carlo. I had to get the whole control stick on the left side of the steering wheel. Plan on spending about $800
No
no not without fabrication not a bolt on project
If your regular headlights wont turn on but only the brights for your Monte Carlo 07 then you're probably experiencing an outage in the light area. The fuse or the bulbs may also be the cause of the problem.
if the headlights work it is bad wiring if they dont its a fuse
It is external and located behind the charcoal canister on the drivers ( left ) side in between the headlights and radiator.
Yea, check the ground in the front turn signal socket. You'll probably find that the ground connection is corroded or completely disconnected.
I have the 1980-1988 Monte Carlo repair manual, I can scan and send you the wiring diagram out of it if you'd like, just email me at babs4ever25@yahoo.ca, and I'll be happy to help, anything else you need let me know and I'll scan those pages for you too.
You will have to replace the switch that is under the top cover on the steering column, the steering wheel has to come off to get the cover off.
Check the fuse for parking/tailights Check the bulbs - they are double filamented with the larger for tailights Check for power and ground at light sockets
If it has a carb. i would use choke and carb cleaner..follow labeled instructions.....if that doesnt work change your fuel filter, and see where that gets you!!
Carlo Di Carlo was born on June 18, 1938, in Bologna, Italy.
