there are two type of heat exchanger in absorption refrigeration, first is liquid heat exchanger and other is gas heat exchanger.both heat exchanger function is same, to transfer heat (hot medium to cold medium) without violate second newton law of thermodynamics.

liquids heat exchanger is between boiler and absorber vessel mean while gas heat exchanger between evaporator and absorber.

What is the importance of ammonia detector while dealing with refrigeration system?

This type of detector is of no importance for electric powered refrigeration systems, as ammonia is not used in them. This type of detector is a safety device for natural gas and propane powered refrigeration systems as ammonia is the coolant in such systems and a leak of ammonia vapor is toxic.

What does absorption do?

Absorption is when you go and kick the particlesinto action and make them move fast which sucksall the hot air and cold air into whatever the absorptionis in e.g an air gap between the walls. This is called Zenna Devadason Thorne's easy way!!!

What is the function of absorber in vapour absorption refrigeration system?

What did Ferdinand Carre invent in 1858?

He invented the ammonia vapor-compression system used in refrigeration.

What is a generator in vapor absorption refrigeration system?

The generator in a vapor absorption system for a refrigerator consists of all of the components that make the refrigerator work. The system allows for compression, condensation, evaporation, and expansion.

What are the uses of ammonia in cold store?

Ammonia is used for refrigeration in an absorption type plant use for large cold stores. The ammonia is not the refrigerant itself, this is usually water, but as means of absorbing the water vapour and returning it as a liquid to the start of the cycle. Unlike a conventional fridge that uses a compressor to do this. The advantages of ammonia cycle plants are that they have no moving parts and can be built to any size. The motive power for the system can be any source of heat which separates the water and the ammonia at the cycle start.

What is simple aircraft refrigeration system?

a simple aircraft refrigeration system is an air refrigeration system, where air is used as the working fluid. the compressor of the aircraft is used to compress the air isentopicaly by ramming process, thus increasing its pressure from p1 to p2. constant pressure heat rejection takes place in a heat exchanger, thus redusing its temperature. now it is isentropicaly expanded using the turbine to the cabin pressure. this air mixes with the air in the cabin and reduses the temperature.

Which Ammonia is A good grade Refrigerant?

There are not different "types" of ammonia. Ammonia is a gas and when you buy ammonia usually it is absorbed in water at different strengths. You may see ammonia sold as ".88" liquid for instance. The ammonia is used in conjunction with water and hydrogen in an ammonia cycle refrigeration plant. The ammonia/hydrogen is released into the evaporator (cold side) of the fridge. The ammonia boils off to a gas (boiling point of ammonia, in open atmosphere, is -33 oC -the pressure in system keeps it liquid). The Hydrogen/ammonia gasses leave the evaporator and are separated by absorbing the ammonia in water. The hydrogen rises back to the top of the system and the ammonia solution falls to the bottom. The only thing left to do is separate the ammonia and water by heating it (distillation) so that the cycle can be repeated. The purpose of the hydrogen the system is to control the boiling point (vapour pressure) of the ammonia.
