Help every time I try to play Team Fortress 2 it loads for a long time and stays at the retrieving server info state and won't continue what do I have to do to fix this?

ask at www.forums.steampowered.com my computer does the same.(laptop)
i usually wait.
it loads then goes blank.(when played in windowmized) then eventually it starts back up.
what you might wanna do is that in ur battery settings on your comp instead of having it on power save go to high performance. it will use more battery but will perform better. Hope it helped=/
