You have to herd them one at a time. There are a lot of them right by the place you need to set the trap. It can take a long time, but you can do it! Remember to herd only spotted ones.
Go up and left on the mountain and you will meet the Sherpa guide. When you are climbing, tie off the rope at each new ring and wait for the guide to catch up.
You can't, because it never appears. You do find Bigfoot at the end of the quest. All you can do at the Himalayas is get the lantern from the monastery and a photo of a footprint high up on the mountain. This is not enough proof. When you prove the other three cryptids, Mews will send you after Bigfoot instead.

The climbing part in the Himalayas is a bit glitchy. If you stay still, the guide is supposed to eventually catch up to you. If not, you can try falling to a lower level (left or right) and starting back up again.
