The tomb was found in November 4th 1922 by Howard Carter after working for 5 years in the valley of the kings. The initial dig by Carter was delayed because of WW1. After that conflict, Carter resumed the search of the tomb. This tomb was the richest one uncovered to date as it was filled with hundreds of ancient Egyptian artifacts.
