This is actually a good question. I just recently did a essay on the "Chumash" or the Tongva people. Yes, the Tongva people did eat meat. The villages were located along streams or lakes, so fish was plentiful. The Tongva men were very skilled hunters. Along with the fish, the villagers ate deer, rabbits, birds, and sometimes even bugs.
