Firstly I can’t believe no one has answered this question on 4 years.
now to the topic at hand. a horse is almost never measured in this manner because horses tend to telescope their necks and this leads to varying sizes. I have recently (4 years into your future, with the amazing technological advances-we have flying cars now.) read watched the same topic and found no answer to this question (Even for an average).
I want you to know that I know your pain, and so this is my story.
ive recently purchases property with a polebarn/carport that is 35x35x20. While I have no use for the height I have decided to loft it With the intent of keeping horses beneath the loft in stalls. Unfortunately, I can’t resolve how tall an average horse is to determine my loft height (In turn limiting my head height on the loft).
so today I bought 4000 horses and intend to measure them and provide your answer.
P.S. I was kidding about that last part, if I could afford 4000 horses I’d own a business that provided answers to 4yo questions.

A horse's first instinct, if scared, is to flee. That is why horses have such long legs; they're built for speed. That is also why horses bolt. Horses in the wild, live out in the open to see danger coming so they can get a head-start. Horses have eyes on the side of their head; to watch for danger. Horses generally sleep standing up, so they can be prepared to run. A horse will only try to fight if cornered. : )
