How can I connect two powered speakers, both are 1000 Watt?

Hello, So I recently bought a new upgraded powered speaker. I still have my old one and was wondering if there is a way to connect the two simply using an RCA to XLR cord. I don't have much knowledge about speakers and how it all works, but I don't have an amp or anything I simply just want to pair the two together. Can I literally just run the cable from one speaker to the next? If someone can give some advice that would be great.

Will a 1200 watt amplifier blow out a 1000 watt subwoofer?

Technically, yes. Practically, no. Amplifiers and speakers are rated by the maximum amount of power (and at what impedance) they can handle. A 1200 watt amplifier will eventually destroy a 1000 watt speaker if it is operated at maximum power. In normal use, however, you rarely even get close to maximum rating.
