no it is not. the wax is purposed to stop the brackets of the braces to hurt you mouth from the inside,wax is not a sticky substance. it is easy to take it off.

Sometimes when you first get braces they can feel like they are rough against the inside of your mouth so you are told to get a special kind of wax that you heat up with hot water and mold to the metal to protect your mouth.- Then there is another kind where it's pretty much for the same perpose - protecting your mouth if the braces start making marks in your mouth where they press against it, or just make your inner-lips or gums hurt - Anyway, this kind is just wax that you easily mold, and put on the part of the braces that's causing the problem. But without melting it on with heat, like the other kind.
