How Ceres get its name?

Ceres, the smallest planet, got its name from the Roman goddess who represents Spring. Ceres was discovered in 1801 by a monk, Giuseppe Piazzi. Ceres, a dwarf planet, is the largest celestial body in the asteroid belt. It's the largest asteroid and the only dwarf planet in the belt.
