The Grand Canyon formed by one word erosion.
The Grand Canyon, could not have possibly been formed by the Colorado River. In the location the Grand Canyon is, it is unhill to the river. Rivers do not run unhill. Also, the million years thing is rubbish too.. that is a different matter. The world is not proven to be billions of years old, this is simply not a scientific fact, scienitific: testable, observable, etc. An answer that comes to mind is yes, maybe erosion, from a flood. Most likely, a very large flood that covered the whole planet about 4000 years ago.

It was a genuine question. Twaddle like that in the second answer is uncalled for, disrespectful to the questioner and to whoever wrote the first, correct, answer (erosion) and merely shows ignorance based on laziness of both science and of the subject of the question.

Of course rivers don't flow uphill! The Grand Canyon is an active river valley, and is still being cut by water running downhill from the high ground on its way back to the sea. As it flowed down the steeper slopes it started to cut back into the slope, and in time this process formed a gorge with its head on the plateau it is draining (mostly snow-melt water?).

There cannot possibly have been any flood covering "the whole planet" only 4000 years ago - sea-levels were lower than they are now, and there is not that amount of water available for a "Waterworld" scenario which would have wiped out land life on Earth anyway. Others who have answered similar questions on this forum quote assorted answers for the Grand Canyon's age, some wildly inaccurate because they are best the ages of the deeper rocks, and some which give a mean of around 6 million years. So far, because as I say, it is still being formed because it is still carrying a large river.
no
No. The Grand Canyon IS NOT in the state of Colorado. Many people get confused on that because the river that carves through the Grand Canyon is called the Colorado River. The Grand Canyon is in Arizona.
yes
a grand canyon is nothing but a big erosion.........
It most likely have dried out. Although, it was because of water that caused the grand canyon to form.
About 17 million years ago. Actually the Grand Canyon was built 2 billion years ago!
The Grand Canyon is 81 miles, 130 kilometres away form Grand Canyon.
