Best Answer

The pressure pushes it around depending on how high or low the air pressure is.

ANSWER

Air moves from areas of higher pressure to areas of lower pressure. If you have a water balloon and you squeeze it, the area where your fingers are is similar to a high pressure zone. The water then flows away from your fingers to the lower pressure areas of the balloon. That is how air flows in the atmosphere. Things such as humidity and temperature differences cause the different pressure zones, and the air flows from high pressure areas to lower pressure ones.

What is the movement of air caused by difference in air pressure is called?

It is called wind.

What is the movement of air due to difference in pressure called?

Nobody knows. Breeze ... maybe.

How does air pressure affect air movement?

Air pressure affects air movement because air moves from high pressure to low pressure. The air pressure pushes or will press the air around.

Winds are produced when there is a different in what?

Winds are produced when there is a difference in atmospheric pressure. Air moves from areas of high pressure in the atmosphere to areas of low pressure. This movement of air is experienced as wind.

Why are there changes in air movement air pressure and humidity?

There are changes in air movement, air pressure ,and humidity because of the weather and the condensation.

What is a pressure gradient and how is it related to air movement?

Pressure gradient is the rate of pressure change as you change position, not just the difference between the lowest pressure and the highest pressure, but how great (or small) the physical distance between them. Since it the pressure difference that make air flow (wind) the greater the pressure gradient, the greater the wind.

What is the movement of air from high pressure to low pressure called?

Air

What is the movement of air from an area of low air pressure to high air pressure?

density

What causes high speed winds and storms?

Winds are simply the movement of air. A large difference in pressure over a given area causes a large amount of air to be moved. The larger the pressure difference, the stronger the winds. When warm air (usually from a high pressure system) collides with cold air (usually a low pressure system) storms are sometimes created.

Is the pressure difference between the top of the balloon responsible for giving the hot air balloon a lift?

yes, because in this case meta center lies below the center of pressure is above. ballon moves due to difference of pressure

What is it called when the movement of air molecules from an area of air pressure to an area of low air pressure?

Wind.
