An Amoeba ( sometimes, incorrectly spelled Ameba) Is a Protozoan, which is the earliest form of animal life- to translate the term Protozoan. ( First- Proto- Zo ( implies animal life like Zoo) and an, to make it a noun. Amoebas and the more advanced Paramecium are staple subjects of study in introductory Biology classes.
