Eye or Optical Illusions actually have nothing to do with eyes. They're actually short cuts that are brain uses because it adapted to Nature and not the world today. Because our brain didn't have distinct pattern and other things that we have today, we can be tricked today because of illusions.

TL;DR So it's just your brain using short cuts that work in nature but not in life today. Nothing to do with your eyes.
