If you wanted to learn how to become a interior designer in Logan you could attend the Bridgerland Applied Technology College also known as BATC which offers classes in interior design and could defiantly get you started on the right track to become a interior designer.

I am having a hard time decorating our ten room house. How would I go about finding an interior designer that will work with my style?

User Avatar

they design the inside of house. hints the word interior. "in" :P Interior designers need to take art classes, drawing classes (still life, sketching, scale models). Business classes would be good as well. Marketing would not hurt either.

they would hire an interior desginer so he/she can suggest what should be in every room and to tell what color should be with the furniture

The type of interior design that would cost the most depends on whether a customer wishes to do their entire home which includes cost of hiring the designer, materials and equipment used to fulfill the decoration.

There is no specific course to take to become an interior designer but there are a few suggestions. You would need to think of what field you would be doing in interior design . For example it may be making fabrics or complete renovations. If you would like to make fabrics for a room I suggest textiles so you can plan and sew fabrics. In textiles you are also able to design bedrooms on paper. If its the complete renovations side of things I suggest construction and engineering so you know how things work and are put together.

It really depends on the state you live in. I live in Texas and they no longer require any degree to call yourself an interior designer or practice. However, there is a strong difference between interior decorator and interior designer. Interior decorators simply do as what they are; they decorate. Change paint color, restain a few furniture pieces, go to Hobby Lobby for accessories. Interior designers design the way the furniture is going to look. They decide how the paint is going to look on the wall. They decide the design and pattern for the flooring. You could compare it to a makeover salesperson at the mall and the make-up artist that designs women's faces for fashion shows. There is a BIG difference. I am what is considered an interior designer. I have went to school at a CIDA (Council for Interior Designer Accredation) accredited school and received my bachelor's of science in interior design. This part is a requirement if you are looking to become a licesenced interior designer. Having a liscense is important because it backs your credentials and you will be able to practice commercial design. I would recommend in any state you live in to at least have a 4 year CIDA accredited interior design degree to at least back up what your natural talent might be. Otherwise, people might not put their trust in you as a designer. Believe me, trust from a client is 80 percent of your business. If you have the degree, if you want to later on, you can get your NCIDQ licensing and work on commercial design. Hope this helps!

It depends upon the kind of client base you are working for..

Because they need someone to design the interiors of their projects, and it's cheaper to have an in-house interior designer than to use an outside firm.

65 to 80 $ an hour.Keeping in mind that you only get paid when you have work.An interior designer would most likely make $57,000 a year.An interior designer can make an average of between nothing to 600,000 dollars a year.Factors to consider:Earning a living as an interior designer has a lot of factors involved in the income that is possible; factors like your own business skills over and above your skills as a designer; whether you work independently or for an employer, salaried or subcontractor; the area or community in which you live, if there is a large enough customer base that can afford the luxury of hiring an interior designer; the economy in a given area at a given time; and your own determination to succeed, to learn from your mistakes and your ability to be creative in overcoming obstacles.

A person would become a graphic designer by first figuring out which specific area of advertising they would like to be in (commercial, technological etc.). They then must gain the correct tools to make the graphics. This would include a computer and programs that allow for graphics and applications. College is another step in becoming a graphic designer. Courses would make it possible for a person the become more educated and qualified for future employment.

User Avatar

Yes, so you would be certified to design a game.

You don't need college to become a fashion designer, but you do need talent, money, and a bit of luck. There is the Fashion Institute in NYC that you can learn from, but no formal education is required.
