because condensation is simply just a change of the water temperature in the air. a temperature change is a physical change. clouds form when the water vapor condenses, so therefore, cloud formation is a physical change.

Is clouds forming in the sky a chemical or physical change?

Original answer is INCORRECT. Clouds forming in the sky is a physical change because a chemical change requires a change in the chemical composition of a material and the H2O, no matter a solid liquid or gas, is always H20.

How and why are clouds forming in the sky a physical change?

When water evaporates into the sky it begins to get cooler and physically changes to condensation or clouds. This is important!!:)

How Cloud forming in the sky a physical change?

Its a physical change because when clouds form, water vapor condenses into water crystals. That is a phase change which is also a physical change.

Is lightning flashing across the sky a chemical or physical change?

Why are there colors in blue sky?

because the clouds are showing their underwear. they can change them

Chemistry equation fro precipitation?

Precipitation is not a chemical change, but a physical change. The chemical involved is water, and this condenses and cools in the sky to form clouds which become denser and the droplets of water larger until they fall from the sky as rain. The only chemical involved is water.

What happens to water during condensation?

The warm water vapour loses heat to the sky and condenses into water droplets, forming clouds.

Why are the sky conditions for a cyclone cloudy?

In a cyclone, air tends to move up, which causes it to cool. Moisture in that air then condenses, forming clouds.

How can water be changed from a gas to a liquid?

Condensation. The water vapor goes up into the sky forming clouds. When the clouds become too heavy with vapor, the water falls back down to earth as precipitation.
