they are usually pulled to make the hair look shorter but its actually not. I no this because i have a fjord, actually two.
They have a black stripe with white hairs around that line. The hair is often trimmed short enough that it stands straight up, and the white hairs are trimmed shorter than the black hairs so that it is more noticable.
First of all horses and ponies don't have their manes cut they have them pulled. And yes they do have them pulled but most owners just leave them put for extra cuteness. :) if you are showing in 4h/open/or just have it for a pet you just leave the mane natural- personally i have never seem a mini's mane pulled
By the way this is for the spanish howrse world tour. Any answers?
no, all horses have manes unless the owner has decided to 'hog' the horse (cut its mane off) or it rubs it out on a fence etc.
Some places call them a 'Cut'. The inlet to Miami, FL is called, Government Cut.A Ria is a narrow coastal inlet
A fjord is a narrow inlet of the sea with steep cliffs created by glaciers, while a canyon is a deep, narrow valley with steep sides formed by erosion. Fjords are typically filled with seawater, while canyons can be dry or have rivers flowing through them.
No, horses manes are generally long unless thinned, cut (which you shouldn't do or it will grow back very thick) or hogged (cut very short like a zebra and it sticks up). Whereas a Zebras mane stays hogged all of its life.
That would be called a Fjord
Did you anger them? Or maybe they have a mental disorder where they cant help themselves from cutting every ponies mane they see.
Chop Cut Rebuild - 2004 Crated Ponies and Suspension 4-5 was released on: USA: 20 August 2007
Because the breed standard for Arabians and Friesians is for their manes to be left to grow long. If you cut an Arabian's or a Frisian's mane and tail it might look weird because these two breeds look better with long hair than with short.
That would be called a Fjord.
yes they can. since rabies is a blood born disease this is very possible. it also depends how big the cut is and how long the ponies mouth was on you. a safe thing to do is go to you doctor and get a rabies test if that ever happened to you.
