Inner planets (up until Mars):
- are mostly composed of dense rocky material with high melting points;
- have small diameters;
- have high tempeatures;
- take few time to make a complete turn around the sun;
- have few or no moons;
- all have impact cracters;
Outer planets:
- are mostly composed of gases;
- have very large diameters (compared to the inner planets);
- have low temperatures;
- take a long time to make a complete turn around the sun;
- generally have several moons;
- no impact craters known (so far since no one as made it to the rocky core of these planets).
Inner planets. are inner & outer planets. are outer
Jupiter is the first of the outer planets. The asteroid belt separates the inner and outer planets.
Because the inner planets are closer to the sun than the outer planets.
The asteroid belt is generally regarded as the boundary between the inner solar system and the outer solar system.
The inner system refers to all planets in our solar system between the sun and the asteroid. The planets are in this order mercury, venus, earth, and mars. The outer solar system is the planets after the asteroid belt like Jupiter, Saturn, uranus, neptune, and Pluto.
Inner planets. are inner & outer planets. are outer
Because the inner planets are made of rock but the outer planets are made of gas(except for Pluto).
the outer planets are gaseous and the inner planets are not
Inner planets small and rocky. Outer planets big and gassy.
The inner planets are all rocky planets. The outer planets are completely made up of gases. The inner planets are much smaller than the outer planets.
Jupiter is the first of the outer planets. The asteroid belt separates the inner and outer planets.
The inner planets are hotter because they are the closest to the sun the outer planets are the coldest because they are the farthest planets from the sun
Inner planets have a radius orbit shorter than the orbit of Jupiter. Outer planets are all the other planets of the solar system.
the inner planets are made of rock, ice and other materials while the outer planets are made of different kinds of gases except for pluto.
The inner planets are small and rocky, the outer planets are much larger and have no solid surface, they are called the gas giants.
Because the inner planets are closer to the sun than the outer planets.
Very simple. We have 2 asteroid belts in our Solar System that divides the inner planets and outer planets. Very well organized and place you can tell with is the inner (closet to the sun) and which is outer (farther from the sun).
