Israel's laws are created by the popularly elected members of the nation's Knesset (Parliament) which is composed of parliamentarians from all of Israel's major ethnic/religious groups, and upon suit by its citizens, are subject to judicial review in the nation's courts. Israel's Supreme Court includes Jewish and Christian justices currently and has included Muslim justices in the past.

Additionally, Israel has 6 districts or Mahozot, 15 sub-districts or Nafot, and numerous localities which each have the ability to make laws that pertain to their area as long as they are within the regional powers granted to those areas.
