One of the main differences is independence ! Most baby mammals require sustenance from the mother in order to grow and develop (like puppies, kittens, baby pigs etc suckling from the mother animal) - Baby reptiles are completely independent from the moment they're hatched (or born) - and quickly go off in search of their first meal.

Reptiles and mammals are not the same thing; I will assume you want some similarities.

Both reptiles and mammals breathe through lungs, not gills.

Both reproduce sexually.

Both are multicellular organisms.

Mammals are characterized by being warm blooded and reptiles cold blooded. This means that mammals can regulate their own temperature whilst reptiles are influenced by the external temperature. Mammals also give birth to live young and suckle their young via special mammary glands (hence the name mammals). Mammals provide a high degree of parental care. Reptiles do not usually give birth to live young and also normally lay eggs. Most reptiles do not provide much parental care and young are expected to fend for themselves as soon as they are born.
