In the same way that milk doesn't have calcium rocks in it. In the same way your blood doesn't have balls of iron bouncing around inside your veins.

The nutrients are evenly distributed in very small amounts, and you can't see them without the aid of a microscope. Any amount that you can see with your naked eye would probably kill you.
