1] Cars weight is kept as low as possible using light weight materials. e.g. carbon mixture is used for car chassis instead of plain steel.

2] Cars design is made aerodynamic for less air resistance and for stuck to the roads at higher speeds.

3] Engines power is increased hugely.

There are also high tech methods used.

Why do cars go faster than a lorry?

Cars typically go faster than lorries due to their lighter weight, aerodynamic design, and more powerful engines. Lorries are built primarily for carrying heavy loads, which requires a focus on stability and torque rather than high speed. Additionally, cars are often designed for performance and speed, while lorries have speed limits imposed for safety and regulatory reasons.

Why does F1 car wheels wear out so easily?

Because the compounds used are particularly soft. This gives them more grip which enables the cars stick to the road better when cornering and that means they go faster. If tyres were designed to last a whole race they would have to be harder and the cars wouldn't be able to go as fast

What happens to toy cars when the second hill is set to 100 cm?

When toy cars go down a steep hill they pick up momentum. Which makes them go faster so a car on a steeper hill will go faster then one on a flat surface.

Why do we have speed limits?

Speed limits are for when there are certain areas that need cars to go slower or to show that they can go faster. E.G on a motor way you can go faster that when you are on a normal street where their are houses.
