Hi ^^; I had the same issue, even when I disabled the emails from Gaia option in the "account settings", I still got some emails relating to friend requests etc. Sooo I created a fake email on hotmail and changed my email to that fake email on my Gaia account (in account settings). there, the emails will go there instead, not to the account you use.
