Fire station tours are planned around convenience for the fire station and enjoyment for the individuals who partake in the tour. As there are many hazards associated with fire stations, the tour must allow for personnel to leave on short notice.
Available on request are tours at your local fire station. These tours include a viewing of all the fire engines and fire fighter equipment. You can also talk to the fire fighters about the work they do. These tours usually last around 20 minutes.
The Kihei Fire Station is on the corner of South Kihei Rd. and Waimahaihai St. It's on the makai side of the street, across from Kukui mall. Across Waimahaihai St. is an open market. The fire fighters who work there are great people, and they do tours occasionally.
