if a fungi lets out seeds the seeds land on the ground a few cm away depending on the speed of the wind. the process is repeated until there's about 5m2 covered with fungi. this is mostly common with fungi balls which are white and when you pop them a cloud of seeds if released into the air. make sure that you don't breath it in. the seeds can effect your health!

Fungi exist as single cells or as branching networks of multicellular filaments with a very large surface area. What is the function of the filaments?

The function of the filaments in fungi is mainly to increase the surface area for nutrient absorption. These filaments, called hyphae, help fungi efficiently absorb nutrients from their surroundings, aiding in their growth and survival. Additionally, hyphae play a role in anchoring the fungus in its environment and in the reproduction process.

What energy does fungi use?

Fungi get their energy from waste materials and decaying organisms. They are able to use hyphae which absorb nutrients in one area. The hyphae will then grow out as a means to absorb other nutrients.

What is the difference between wide spread and widespread?

The compound noun has a specific meaning, meaning "spread widely" as in over a large area. Something "wide spread" could be anything from a pair of legs to a large farm. It's certainly not correct to split the compound noun up, a common spelling error.
