Generally, at least, from personal experience with people I know, the ones who have good memories also tend to have an above-average vocabulary, they tend to think more deeply into things, and analyze most, if not all details about a situation, dissecting and examining every tidbit of information they come across, etc. etc. This, in turn, would lead you to be what one could consider someone or themselves as "intellect" or "intelligence".
