Micro organisms can be helpful and bad at the same time.
These microscopic life forms can be bad because they can cause a variety of diseases which are gross, painful and life threatening in some cases. They even destroy food items and other such necessities of life. They spread epidemics, cause harm to our environment to some extent and can be irritating when they infect someone.
Common diseases caused by microbes are AIDS, malaria, jaundice, diptheria, chicken pox, Swine Flu (recently), measles etc.
Micro-organisms affect every facet of our lives. From disease to digestion, nothing we do remains unaffected by micro-organisms.

bad micro organisms
Louis Pasteur
This question, as written, is a little confusing. Food goes bad because of action of bacteria and other micro-organisms. Micro-organisms need moisture to survive. So dry food tends to keep longer than wet food, when exposed to the air, because micro-organisms are missing the vital water they need to multiply. Wet food is generally prepared at high temperature, which kills the micro-organisms, and then sealed still at the high temperature. The contents of the package are sterile, and so won't go bad because of bacteria -- at least until the package is opened. Once bacteria get in, of course, all wet food will spoil.
The reason being is so that bad micro organisms otherwise known as bacteria can not lead to serious illnesses that can not be medicated on.
About 40.000 micro organisms. Most of them are good but there are some bad ones in there as well.
Micro-flora or microbiotas benefit humans by using up most nutrients before the bad microflora does. By doing this the bad micro-flora cannot grow out of control and causing damage.
