Political socialization
Peer groups have a strong influence on a person's opinions due to the social nature of humans and the desire for acceptance within a group. Individuals are often influenced by the attitudes and beliefs of their peers in order to fit in and feel a sense of belonging. This influence can shape a person's opinions, behaviors, and decision-making processes.
Political opinions are formed by students who have studies in political science, philosophy and economics. Political opinions are also formed as reactions to government actions or non actions on important matters by the general public. These opinions can also be made based on media news information or editorials in newspapers, magazines and from the TV & radio media. Political opinions are also formed due to the activities of persons running for public office. A perfect example of this is post WW1 politics in Germany. People were made aware of proposed political policies by the Social Democrats, the Nazi's and the Communists, among other groups.
Factors that might influence a person's political opinions include family upbringing, education level, socio-economic status, personal experiences, exposure to media and news, cultural background, and values. Additionally, peer influences, religious beliefs, and geographical location can also play a role in shaping political views.
The ability of persons, groups, or institutions to influence political developments would be called power.

Peer groups have a strong influence on a person's opinions because individuals seek validation and acceptance from their peers. People are often more likely to conform to the beliefs and values of their peer group in order to maintain social relationships and a sense of belonging. Additionally, peer groups can provide a different perspective or new information that may influence how a person forms their opinions.
