Pitch is only a componet of any sound. It represents the frequency of the sound, normally expressed in hertz (number of waves in a second). Low frequeny sounds are bass, thunder, foghorns, etc. High frequency sounds are screeches, bird whistles, breaking glass, etc. People's voices are in between high and low (normally 400 to 1000 hertz). Other components of a sound are amplitude (how energetic or loud the sound is) and wave envelope (wave shape).

For people interested in music, pitch is how high or how low a sound is. Pitch is changed by varying the frequency of the sound waves. As the frequency increases, so does the pitch. In a sound wave, there are parts of the wave, the crest(top of wave), and the trough(bottom of the wave). Frequency is how many times a second a crest passes a certain point in space. The more that pass every second, the higher the frequency, and therefore, the higher the pitch. Hope this helps!

If you change the frequency of a sound wave, then the pitch will change. If you change the amplitude, then the volume (or noise level) of the sound will change. They are alike in that they both alter the the way something sounds, but different in that they alter something different.

Pitch and Frequency are basically the same thing, but frequency can be quantified more easily. (Quantified is assigning a value). A piano may play a pitch of C, but the frequency could be 512 hertz. C is the pitch. 512 Htz is the frequency. The relationship is that as the pitch of a sound goes up the Frequency goes up too.

pitch is related to sound, without sound no pitch would be created. Sound is the core of any noise, any noise is referred to sound. A pitch is basically a frequency. certain frequencies create certain pitch. for example a high pitch would be a high frequency and a low pitch would be a low frequecny. its quite simple. Loudness is also sound, it depends how high the pitch it to make is loud or soft.

They are not similar. Pitch means frequency of sound and and loudness (volume) means amplitude of sound.
