They are not going extinct. The stable population is around 25000 animals now.
a few reasons.
firstly, Fishermen are capturing the fish from around the Antarctic, reducing the chances of the polar bears finding food.
secondly, some people kill them purposely for their fur.
and lastly, Global warming is an encroaching factor.
the high temperatures are melting the icecaps.
Polar bears are not close to extinction, there are still probably several thousands of them left. But they are in danger as their habitat, the Arctic sea ice, is shrinking because of global warming. This makes it difficult for the bears to store enough food (as fat) to last them through the lengthening summers.
Polar bears are not extinct but global warning is making their habitat disappear so there is a chance that the polar bears might get extinct.
With a stable population of over 20,000, up from around 6000 in 1970, the polar bear is not disappearing.
They are not becoming extinct. Some people believe that if global warming starts to warm the Arctic that they could have issues.
They are becoming extinct because we are capturing them and putting them in zoos for people to stare at all day. But in the worse cases they are hunted.
Because the ice is melting and they can't fish food because they can't get to the ice.
They are not becoming extinct. With a population of 25000, they are listed as vulnerable.
They are not going extinct. The stable population is around 25000 animals now.

First off, the question should be either "What math is used in Mechanical Engineering? or What is the highest level of math someone needs to take in order to become a Mechanical Engineer?" Most college programs require through Differential Equations to earn a BS degree in ME. This means you would need to take Calculus 1, 2, and 3, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations once you get to college. It is assumed that most students going into engineering will have no less than Pre-Calculus before entering college while most will have taken Calculus. Now each college has different requirements for fulfilling the math requirements for an engineering program. I know from my experience, Georgia Tech teaches math differently than most colleges because they combine Calc 1-3 and Linear Algebra into just 3 courses instead of 4. My suggestion is look at the program requirements at the school you are interested in first. Second, evaluate whether you feel that you can learn the math. For those who struggle with math, if you really want to be an engineer, I suggest going to a smaller school where the class size will be smaller. This will have better student/teacher interaction so you can get more help.

No, they are going extinct. There are only about 20,000 left.
At present, there are beteen 20000-25000 polar bears, and they are considered "Threatened", by the IUCN, not an endangered species at this time.Polar bears have never been extinct. Though they were on the endangered species list the numbers are now recovering and still considered 'at risk'.

The polar bear isn't currently going extinct anywhere. There are several populations, and some are doing better than others, but as of this time none of the populations are in extreme danger.
