Roadways are better than railways if the condition of people transportation are opposites to the advantage of railways.

Roadways advantage are:

1. People can choose freely whether they want to drive cars, motorcycle, take buses or even walk (assuming the roadways are also has pedestrian for walking).

2. People has their privacy when driving cars, they can hear music/news, being with someone else they preferred which you cannot do if you traveled by train, except it's a compartment train and you pay for the compartment which become more expensive than driving car. The disadvantage is also applied to other roadways public transportation.

3. People can always stop at any available place (restaurant, hotels, parks) and for the bus, they can stop at any destination bus-stop. And at the same reason, if the vehicle is broken, they can continue traveling, by taxi or hitch hiking (caution in several place), or by bus. It can also allow vehicle to change direction at any available traffic.

4. Access for help. If accident happens in roadways, access for the rescue are always much more available than railways.
