Scale is nothing but a measuring instrument which is required
for drafting. More commonly known as the ruler, it provides you
the measurement for the drawing with the help of which you can
draft the drawing to the scale.
A scale also gives you the proportionate reduction and
enlargement of the drawing if required (Please refer to the Unit -
Scales).
The scale has two systems of measurement : British System
and Metric System
In the British system, the least factor of the scale is 1/8th of
an inch and unit is a Foot whereas in the Metric system, the least
factor is Millimeter and unit is a Meter.
Zero, a useful number to have on the scales, will be present in the even numbered scales but not the odd numbered ones.

Nearly all fish, including sharks, have scales. We don't have any fossilized impressions of Megalodon skin, but there is no reason to believe that they didn't have scales like other sharks. The scales on shark skin are useful because they trap water against the shark. Thus, the water that rubs against them mainly rubs against the water in between the scales, and that greatly reduces drag.
