streetlights have whats called a photovoltaic cell on top of there casings, this cell works by using sunlight to generate a little current, when there is less sun it will generate less electricty, when it generates less than a certin current it will triger a switch in the streetlight, when the sun comes back out bit by bit it will generate current again until a certin point which is related to how bright the sun is shining and then the light will turn back off
Street lights can be switched on automatically using light sensors that detect the decrease in natural light levels due to cloud cover. When the sensors detect low light levels, they trigger the street lights to turn on. This technology helps save energy by only activating the lights when needed.
Photocells are most commonly used in outdoor lighting applications, such as street lights and security lights. They are used to automatically turn the lights on at dusk and off at dawn, saving energy and providing convenience.
Clouding of the lens is known as cataracts, which can cause blurry vision, glare from lights, and difficulty seeing in low light conditions. Cataracts can be removed through surgery to restore clear vision. If you notice any changes in your vision, it is important to see an eye doctor for an evaluation.
People invented motion lights as a way to enhance security and safety around homes and buildings. By automatically turning on when motion is detected, they help deter potential intruders and provide visibility in dark areas. Additionally, they save energy by only operating when needed.
Before starting, if the lights are switched on, all of the current from the battery is going to the lamps, but quite a lot of electrical power is required to start the engine, particularly if the oil is thicker because it is cold. When the engine starts it drives the dynamo or alternator which sends extra current to the battery which can then send more current to the lights.
The motion light was invented by John H. Nelson, an American inventor, engineer, and physicist, in the early 1930s. Nelson's invention allowed for lights to turn on automatically when they sensed motion in the surrounding area, providing convenience and energy savings.
A time delay relay is used in applications that have a need to be automatically switched on and off. A few applications that require time delay relays are strobe lights, stoplights, and Christmas tree lights.

No. The lights are switched independently of the transmission.

Mostly positive side switched but it has a couple ground side switches also such as the courtesy lights.

It is the thing that lights up when power is switched on.
Yes. I switched the lamps and they work OK. There is only one fuse marked for the stiop lights and it's ok also.
Solar lights still receive some sun light on cloudy days. Many are able to store power from previous sunny days and continue working through a few cloudy days before needing more sun light to power them. http://www.livestrong.com/article/170281-do-solar-lights-charge-on-a-cloudy-day/
That is correct. On 1987 and later 900s the dashboard lights come on whenever the ignition is switched to ON.
