Students can receive the Pell Grant for a maximum of 12 semesters or the equivalent. This is equivalent to approximately 6 years of full-time undergraduate study.
For college students that are strapped for cash, work study programs will not only help them financially, but will also also help students obtain valuable work experience that is necessary to find employment in the future. The federal government provides funds for the work program. As of 2012, over 3,400 post-secondary institutions receive funding for the work study program. Whenever possible, institutions are expected to have students perform work that is related to their discipline. This increases the chances that the student will be able to acquire valuable skills that will assist them in the job market. Participating institutions must apply for an opportunity to receive funding. The institution must pay for at least 50% of the program, though there are some exceptions to this rule. For example, reading and math tutors can have their wages funded by 100%. Also, the program must pay the students at least minimum wage. At least 7 percent of the funding received by the institution must be used for the purpose of community service. Students must be paid by the hour and must never by paid by commission or fee. The school must pay the student directly and the student must receive a check at least once a month. The financial aid administrator is responsible for determining how much the student will be paid and what the student's hours will be. The student's hours must not conflict with the academic schedule. The students that are hired for the Federal Work Study program must apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, a program that can provide free tuition dollars for students who need financial assistance. Programs such as the Federal Work Study program are administered by the financial aid office of the participating university. Since not all schools have a Federal Work Study program, students should check with the financial aid office. They should apply as soon as possible, since students are enrolled in the program both based on need and based on deadlines set by the university.
Politics decide the funding for scientific research, and without political backing of an experiment or study, the project would have no funding to conduct said study
High school students receive a myriad of college advertisement. Colleges are vying for high school student enrollment. The more students that are enrolled in the college means that the city and the state would provide more funds for the renovation of college buildings and the addition of new programs of study. Therefore, high school students receive a barrage of college advertisement requesting that they submit their application for college admission.
Until your funding runs out. Or you die, I suppose, but you could always get students to carry on the study after you're gone. There's no real time limit (other than the natural ones such as how long you stay interested, how long you can afford financially to do it, and how long you live) to how long a study can go on.
what did students wear in 1900
You need to find a way to keep funding available within the school district. Help pass school levies as they bring some of that money needed - encourage the parents to spend a little more time with their students in the evenings helping them study and find value in education. If the students' scores improve on standardized testing there is more chance that addtional funding will be made available on a federal level.
