Mangrove swamps are coastal wetlands found in areas such as the Gulf of Mexico and the southern tip of Florida. They form in tropical and subtropical areas where salt water and fresh water meet. Salt marshes are usually composed of deep mud and peat. They can occur all over the world, but are more prevalent in middle to high latitude areas. They are coastal wetlands which are flooded by the salt water the tides bring in.

The water flow in rivers is too high.Rivers are less productive than swamps because swamps just like marshes have the highest primary production of all the world's ecosystems.
Some salt trees cost more than others
Well, most animals are likely 2 live in salt water than fresh water@------}--------
Freshwater marshes typically freeze faster than saltwater marshes due to the lower freezing point of freshwater compared to saltwater. Saltwater marshes have a lower freezing point due to the presence of dissolved salts, which can inhibit the formation of ice.
Wetlands, which encompass a variety of ecosystems including swamps, are generally larger and can include expansive marshes, bogs, and fens. Additionally, large bodies of water like lakes and rivers can be considered bigger than swamps in terms of surface area. Furthermore, entire floodplains can also be larger than a swamp, as they cover extensive regions that are periodically inundated.
Marshes have more water flow
Halophiles are organisms that thrive in high salt environments. They are typically found in places like salt flats, salt mines, and salt marshes. These organisms have adapted to survive in conditions where the salt concentration is much higher than what most other organisms can tolerate.
Alligators are typically found in freshwater habitats within the rainforest, such as swamps, marshes, rivers, and lakes. They prefer areas with slow-moving water and plenty of vegetation for cover and hunting.

~There are two types of swamps, forested and shrub swamps. ~In the US swamps cover approximately 100,000 square miles. ~Swamps develop in moist climates ~Swamps contain a natural filtration system that cleans the water even better than our man made factories. ( Hope this can help!)
