The innermost energy level always contains two electrons and the rest are arranged in 8s. for example the energy levels of calcium- 2,8,8,2. calcium contains 20 electrons. once the energy levels are filled upto 8 electrons then we move from onto the next energy level.

hope this makes sense lol :)

Why does sodium have electrons that are not arranged in its energy levels?

Sodium atoms do have electrons that are arranged in energy levels. The electron configuration of sodium is 1s22s22p63s1.

How are the electrons arranged?

electrons are arranged in energy levels, or shells, around the nucleus of an atom.

Where are electrons arranged?

Electrons are arranged in energy levels or shells around the nucleus of an atom. These energy levels can accommodate a specific number of electrons, and electrons are distributed in these levels based on their energy. The electron configuration of an atom determines its chemical properties.

Is electrons the only thing arranged in various energy levels or orbitals or are protons arranged the same way?

Protons are not arranged in energy levels or orbitals like electrons. Protons are found in the nucleus of an atom and do not occupy specific energy levels or orbitals. Electrons, on the other hand, are arranged in specific energy levels or orbitals around the nucleus.

How are electrons arranged in the atom?

Electrons are arranged in energy levels or shells around the nucleus of an atom. The first shell can hold up to 2 electrons, while the second and third shells can hold up to 8 electrons each. The electrons fill up the shells in order of increasing energy levels.

Which components of an atom are arranged in various energy levels or orbitals?

Electrons are the components of an atom that are arranged in various energy levels or orbitals. These energy levels are quantized and correspond to different distances from the nucleus, with each level accommodating a specific number of electrons based on their energy.

Area in which electrons are arranged in energy levels?

The area in which electrons are arranged in energy levels is called "Main Energy Levels." The chart also includes configurations of the electrons. I have attached a link to explain.

How are electrons arranged in an electron cloud?

Electrons are arranged in an electron cloud around the nucleus of an atom, occupying different energy levels or orbitals. These orbitals can hold a specific number of electrons based on their shape and orientation. The arrangement of electrons in the electron cloud is governed by quantum mechanics and the Pauli exclusion principle.

Electrons orbit the atom's nucleus in one of these?

Electrons orbit the atom's nucleus in specific energy levels, also known as electron shells or orbitals. The electrons are arranged in these levels based on their energy and distance from the nucleus.

What element has electrons in the same number energy levels as argon?

The element that has electrons in the same number of energy levels as argon is krypton. Both argon and krypton belong to the noble gases and have their electrons arranged in the same number of energy shells, specifically three energy levels. Krypton has a total of 36 electrons, while argon has 18.

What is the electronic structure of sulphur?

The electronic structure of sulfur is 2-8-6, which means it has 16 electrons arranged in three energy levels - 2 electrons in the first energy level, 8 electrons in the second energy level, and 6 electrons in the third energy level.

How are particles arranged in the atom?

Particles in an atom are arranged in a central nucleus made up of protons and neutrons, with electrons orbiting around the nucleus in specific energy levels or shells.
