How are the molecules in a gas different than the molecules in the liquid?

Difference is with arrangement. In liquid particles are arranged bit tightly. In gas particles move freely.

How are solids liquisd and gas arranged?

You forgot about the fourth state of matter which is "Plasma". Solids are arranged of molecules that are really close to eachother and have very few space to move around in. In liquid, the covalently bonded hydrogen and oxygen molecules are not as close to eachother as in the solid. In gases, molecules are very far apart. In plasmas, ( like in the center of the sun) are neither gas nor a solid. It's too hot to be a solid and to dense to be a liquid.

Why can't you see gas?

We can't see gas because the molecules are arranged farthest apart from each other there are no force that bonds them together. It has neither definite volume nor definite shape.

What is true if a liquid and a gas are in equilibrium?

liquid molecules forming a gas and gas molecule forming a liquid are equal in number

When a gas is compressed in a cylinder what does the distance between the gas molecules do?

The compression will result in a lowering in the average distance between molecules of the gas. Imagine that the cylinder is like that in an internal combustion engine, with a piston inside the cylinder. The compression is accomplished by pressing the gas into a reduced volume. The number of gas molecules remains the same. With the same number of molecules in a reduced volume, the gas molecules are pressed more closely together, lowering the average distance between the gas molecules.

What do you mean by crystaline?

Crystalline means that the molecules are arranged in a specific pattern. Amorphous means that the molecules are arranged randomly.

What state is is arranged as a crystalline or an amphorus?

The state that is arranged as a crystalline or an amorphous form is a solid. Those two forms require a rigid structure of molecules, which is what a solid provides unlike a liquid or gas.

In a fluid manner

What is the kinetic molecular theory particle model of a gas?

Gas molecules are spaced far apart from each other and randomly arranged. They move about randomly at high speeds in all directions and there are negligible forces of attraction between gas particles.
