They are a huge and integral part of agriculture. They are the extra partner in the farm operation, either to keep the farm afloat with their off-farm job, or as Boss #2 (or #1, depending on who's really running the farm) in farm operations. Their ideas with how to manage a farm on their own is all a part of the variety of methods out there to make things run more efficiently and don't need a lot of physical labour to accomplish. Women are no longer house-wives in this day and age; they are a part of the work force, especially in agriculture, helping to mold and form agriculture to where it is sustainable and a solution to feeding a large and growing population of people.
