Autism is a neurological difference, thus it primarily effects the brain.
But autism is a body-wide condition.

As it is neurological it effects how we perceive the world around us and how we interact with it. Autistic people often have sensory issues, meaning that we are more sensitive to touch, taste, smell, and sight so certain sensations may be pleasurable and others may be uncomfortable or even painful. Autistic people often have issues with sensory perception so we can be clumsy. As many as 1 in 4 Autistic people, children especially, have bowel problems or digestive problems too.
