The best way is probobly to separate them but if you still cant figure the tricky puzzle out wait until the babies grow older and there full colours come out as they may have the same sort of pattern as 1 of the mothers so it will be easier to figure it out,that is what i did and we are 100% on the answer now.Also the 1 that hangs around the babies more is more likely to be the mother and the 1 that may try and eat them probobly is not.
