like any piercing or infected part of the body, it can swell till it splits and medical attention is needed. BUT the average swelling for the frenulum would be nearly non and up to the size of a pea or at the largest small marble size.
Swelling can vary from person to person, so as long as you follow your written aftercare instructions and listen to your professional body piercer you shouldn't have any issues.
Some swell badly and other swell mildly but all tongue piercings swell to some extent, it's the tongues normal reaction to trauma and helps set the healing process in motion. That is why we tell clients to keep popsicles and freezes on hand as much as possible during the first few days post piercing. Just helps the piercing heal a bit better.
Yes it's bad...........
no. Tongue piercings aren't bad to get. It's the healing that can be annoying.
The Lingual frenulum anchors the tongue to the floor of the mouth. The taste buds located on the tongue's lingual membrane contribute to the experience of food flavour. = If you tore your lingual frenulum it would depend on how bad the tear is as to if you need to go to a doctor. = A small tear should heal by its self
I'm sure cutting anything in your mouth hurts but not too bad.
I've never had a dermal anchor piercing but I can imagine they hurt quite a bit depending where on the body you get it. But I had my tongue pierced just over a year ago and I didn't feel a thing. Because the tongue is a muscle, the needle just slips through the layers rather than piercing through it. It can be uncomfortable afterwards, but it just feels like a muscle ache but in your tongue, and it does swell up, but mine was completely fine after 5 days of having it done. x
cause it look wierd and food can get in the hole lol
If you're going to be a cheap about your piercing, you're gonna get a hack and a bad piercing ...sorry to be harsh but its true. Save yourself in the long run this is your tongue.
Its depends on the person, but it shouldn't get too swollen, and it goes down after a few days.
Salt water is great for cleansing sores in your mouth (gargling it at least). Can't see why that would be bad for cleansing your tongue piercing. (Just don't swallow! Ouch.)
It could hurt you really bad and kill you in worst case scenario.
